what vehicle tows best

We are looking to up-size from a Roadtrek SS Sprinter to a 35 ft. motorhome . If we do that , then we need to take along a vehicle in order to get around . Can anyone provide input as to what vehicle is most efficient and useful , easy to tow ? there is just the 2 of us. Thanks from a newbe , but learning

Most people say a Jeep tows best. There are lots of articles on the Internet about this. Here are some URL's you can check out and decide what best suits your purposes.

We have heard that CRV's by Honda are great tow vehicles with enough room for shopping or having guests ride with you. John and Carolyn

Thank You everyone who responded to my question. After intense research, we decided on a JEEP Grand Cherokee Laredo . The most important thing about this vehicle is to make sure it has the transmission that can be FLAT TOWED" We bought the Jeep with the (4WD single speed transfer case) wrong one first . (We were misinformed that all Jeep models can be towed) and took it back after finding out from the owners manual that ONLY THE QUADRA-TRAC ll /QUADRA-DRIVE ll transmission can be shifted into neutral with a transfer case.and safely FLAT TOWED. We LOVE this vehicle and are so glad we kept looking and asking questions. I must say that I got so much conflicting information from the major manufactures Ford, Chrysler, Chev, Toyota that it took an act of congress and the actual owners manual (only info to trust) to get the straight answer. Now we are in the process of having a blue Ox tow bar put on our Monaco Cayman and hook up installed on our 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the towable trans. A Happy Newbe, Judith

Hi Judy,

Just joined this site. My wife and I are wanting to get into RVing and we are trying to determine what kind of upkeep costs to expect. Can you share any ideas on this? So far we have had a hard time finding info. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe
