No More Renting, just purchased our new RV!!!!
We rented a Class C last summer and loved the RV experience. We finally found the floorplan we loved(it took us longer to decide on interior color then the floor plan!). We purchased it today ....2008 Jayco Greyhawk 31SS, Cocoa Bean interior, new Ford 450 Cab. Now we have to plan our first getaway. Will do some short overnights on Cape Cod for our shake down trips, then off to SC, ME and NY for our weekly trips. On our trip to SC, we will be in the Charleston area to visit family and friends. Can anyone recommend a nice campground(April). We will check out the campground review site too, but like to hear first hand experiences from folks on this site. So far James Island looks great. James Island is very nice. There is a KOA on 17- out of Mt Pleasant which is right across the bridge from downtown Charleston and on the same road is a Federal park (Buck Hall) . They have water and electricity but no sewage at each site. They do have a nice dump station but the bath house is not all that great. If you are like us you won't use the bath house anyway. KOA has full hook ups.

Myrtle Beach at Easter time is nice. We'll be at Lakewood at that time with our kids and families

Thanks for the info. We decided to go to Gettysburg in April. We are planning on staying one night in Ct, onto the Pocono Mts, Pa for 3 nights, then to Gettysbury for 4 days. We will head home with one overnight stop along the way back to Massachusetts. We decided not to go to to SC in April since our son cannot make the trip, and I will be the only driver. Aces High, CT..Otter Lake in Poconos, Gettysburg Campground ....then pot luck on the way home. Hope we find a nice place mid way. I am still researching the route home.
