We went on a 6100 mile trip this last summer and the MH performed flawlessly. But, before going I put on new shocks and steering stabilizer and decided to wait on the tires. All along the trip I heard some not-so-positive opinions on 19.5 wheels and tires for a P-30 chassis 33' MH. (bad tire wear, alignment issues, and load-weighting problems) Well, we encountered nothing of the sort on the trip and I seriously doubt I'd have room in the wells to change anything anyway but I'm gonna have to buy new tires this year, anybody got any idea's? Now I have no idea what to believe.

BJs Discout warehouse has some really good tires and so does Sam's warehouse.
I was in Camping World Super Store a month ago and they had really good prices on their tires also. Sometime you can get off brand tires on the internet or at neighborhood store. Hope this helps you.I'm the same guy that asked the questions about pulling a Nissan Frontier pickup on all 4s. Found out I can pull it on a tow dolly if I backed it on. The towmaster tow dolly has electric brakes.
I hope any information I gave you is helpful. Hope to be your frien Ralph Aiello
Thanks Ralph,
Finding 19.5 tires isn't really a problem, its deciding whether I should change sizes because of the "inferred" inferior handling and mileage these size wheels & tires are supposed to get. I can't seem to get a straight answer from any of the "tire people and I'm pretty sure I'd have problems with fitting anything bigger anyway.
Ron:im a truck dvr and i have 19.5 on my class A. Now if you got goodyear tires thats a big problm .The g49s dont wear good on 18 wheels or a mh.All they do is wear cross ways and cup no matter if there on steers or drives. The mileage isnt that good now thats with balanced and aligned.I suggest that you go to a TOYO tire or a michlin..They will run mor quiter and out perform better. If you need to replace out on the road you can get them at trk stp if needed The 19.5 rims get mor mpgs than the 22.5 I live in the nw(oregon) i deal alot with the LES SCHWAB TIRE SHOPS and they have treated me rite.I have gotten tires for my semi frm them for years
Thanks Ron, Thats the kind of information I'm looking for! Most of the people reading this are going to give "their experiance" while on the road. Thats empirecal data no one can argue against, and a sales pitch that can be trusted, Thanks again
