We met some people in a Florida campground who told us they frequently set a crock pot in their motor coach sink and run the generator while driving so they had a hot meal ready when they pulled in at the end of the day. I thought that was a very good idea so I bought a crock pot that would fit into our sink. However, now I'm concerned about the heat that it produces during cooking. Could that harm the sink? The sides of the pot won't actually touch the sides of the sink and there is some space between the bottom of the crock pot and the bottom of the sink. I usually set my crock pot on a wooden cutting board when I use it at home but I don't have a cutting board that will fit into the sink.
Have any of you tried this? Was there any damage to the sink? Ours sink is not Corian. I guess it's plastic of some kind. Any suggestions?
