I'm also a new member, but my wife (Carol) and I have not jet purchased a trailer. We used to go camping all the time when the kids were small but gave it up when they grew older. We are both retired now and plan a cross country trip this next year. We are looking and plan on buying a new travel trailer this spring or summer. I'm retired Air Force and Virginia Dept. of Transportation, and Carol is retired Federal Ag Dept. I drive a Charter Motorcoach part-time, when I want to. I just came back from a 24 day cross country trip with a stop in Ok City to visit the memorial. They did a great job on it. That's all for now. Have a nice day.
Hello Bernie, My name is Tom - I have just joined 'My River' and am happy to see you here. I will try to watch your comment to stay infromed and keep abreast of news. . . by the way - great 'COMMENT' title. Thank You - Tom SKI
thank you and have a good year. Bernie
Welcome Bernie. Sounds like you have a solid plan. Congrats on your recent retirement. Route 66 is a fun trip but probably not much fun for children if they are unaware of the nostalgic significance of such pilgrimage to many as the Pony Express, cowboys and indians, hopes and dreams in stage coaches, covered wagons, as well as automobiles.
Welcome Bernie... my name is Jo and I am new also, I am working my butt off to purchase a Class C and get on the road. I love photo's so if you took some why not share them with us all. Enjoy the site and hope to hear about many more of your trips. Again Welcome.
