Hi Betty, received your note about making greeting cards. We are headed to Tampa for the holidays to visit my daughter and see Peace is not to far away. Is there a shop you went to and took a class? I also have a embroidery machine. What is iris folding?

Hi Ken and Donna, When I was Peace River Resort, I took the two card classes right at the resort. Have you ever done greeting cards or heard of the iris folding or paper embroidery? Sounds hard but really isn't. Iris folding consists of having a pattern which you trace on your card or paper. You cut the item (such as a star, kite, or anything). Then you take strips of pretty paper (you can use any paper, tissue paper, wrapping, pictures, anything), fold in center, and layer them according to the pattern, in your "frame". You can find sites on the internet with patterns, and instructions. The technique is really pretty on a card. Let me know if you cannot find a site or if you want any more info. Betty
