I am a fairly new owner of two vintage travel trailers. I purchased a 1960 Aristocrat Lil Loafer in June 2008 and a 1953 Aljoa in July 2008. I will be bringing the Aljoa home this coming weekend and getting ready to strip it down and start the restoration.

Will it be for sale and if so for approximately how much? If so, please send me some pics when restored along with a price.

Thank You,
Hi Eddie & Delores,

I'm sorry that I just now saw your post, I didn't receive a notice when you originally posted your comment and I don't check the site too often (obviously). I am planning on using the 53 Aljoa with my 55 Ford F-100 for trips when I do my nature photography, so I plan on keeping it at this time. My ex fiancee has the 60 Aristocrat Lil Loafer now.

I do get some notices on Canned Hams that are for sale from time to time and could send you a reply when I learn about them if you are still looking. Also, you can look at these sites for restored Canned Hams if you are still looking.

When Tom retired from the Air Force we had planned to full-time in a Class A for several years before retiring to the mountains of Western North Carolina, where we are camping every day. We live in the "Land of the Waterfalls" and when our perfect little place came up we had to take it...it turned out to be a Blessing, especially with the economy so uncertain. And now that we camp a lot our RV dream has changed so much...teardrop or RoadtreK (read bathroom), we have more time than money.

Thanks for the sites, and Wow!, I didn't know that you could build your own. And all those sites to investigate, I'll be busy for days.

Where in CA? Our last big vacation was a family reunion in San Diego. We drove, combining tent camping in National and State Parks and stays at various military bases across the country. We were gone two months. Thanks for your help!
Hi Warna,

I am glad that you and Tom found the perfect place. My dad retired from the Air Force after serving in WWII and Korea and was in the Reserves when I was born.

I am glad that you found the web sites interesting. I hope it does not give you too many options to think about. :-)

I live in Long Beach, CA which is on the Los Angeles and Orange County border. I have never been to the East Coast, but some day.

Regards,
Brett Taylor
