Sorry I am rather slow to respond, but I thank you for your complement. I looked hard, compared alot. First of next month hope to hit the Grand Mesa for a couple of days. Been taking care of my parents while my sister and niece are at a retreat. When they get back, they are going to Salt Lake City to see Kenny Chesney. After they get back, I get to go on my retreat for a couple of days. Can't go far because of tires, but I think it will make it.
How have you folks been doing. Hope all is going as hoped. Good luck.
Hi Ann & Don. Sounds like you have been working pretty hard, packing and all. I have not heard of the Sportscoach, but probably have seen several since I have been lucky enough to go rving since I was a kid. Buying an rv is exciting, new or used, and I wish you well on your new rig. If it's anything like mine, it will keep you occupied for a while. Oh, are you going to full time when you get settled down? That's my 2 cents worth for the day so make it a good one.
Hi Ann & Don. Hope you are doing and feeling well.
Thanks for the report, sounds like things are slowly falling together. I was out helping dad fix the sprinkler system and saw the motorhome parked across the street and it looks very much like yours I think. I will get on that site you talked about and look again. It's been parked in the same place since I moved out here to my sister's place.
Have started remodeling and fixing and learning how to run your new home. That will never end. I have been in mine for a year now and have only made a small dent in what I want to do and fix on my MH. Have some things I want to do but haven't figured out how to do it yet. None the less, I enjoy most of it. Getting ready for another winter, mainly because of the tire situation. I found some more holes to plug and getting some work done on one of my furnaces. The other one gave up so I hope I can just buy a new one and then the heating situation will be done with. Next year I hope to be sitting on the beaches of the Saltan Sea next winter.
I joined a Yahoo group called "rvsingles" and one of the moderators lives about 3 miles from me and we have coffee and I pump his brain for everything I can get. He's a long time motorhome owner and knows a few tricks of the trade. The object of this particular group is to try and meet as many members as you can, whether they come to you or you go to them. Will be fun next year. This group gets together in the winter. There is a place 100 miles west of Quartzsite called "the slabs" which is an old military base that the gov't gave up. Kind of a no man's land. People boondock there year round, some are residents of the area. It's just outside of Niland, Ca., and the town has a huge dumping station for $5.00 and free water at the city park. Serving RV'ers is there business. So hopefully next year Chili Bob and I can head out together next winter.
My arthritis is getting to my fingers today so stay safe and healthy, and have some fun. Till then,
See ya;
Ron
ps. You know how to tell who's a fulltimer?
They always want to flush the toilet with
their foot.
Hi guys. Did you get your tires on safely. No incidents on the way? What's your next project?
I am going to try and get my rear air bag air lines replaced if my mechanic has time. Been fixing broken reading lights. Could replace them, but easy to fix, so I can keep it original. Worked on my tv reception off the bat wing on my computer and get about 8 local stations. Digital is nice, just wish my tvs were. Now I know how to do it if I get a chance to amble somewhere within the month.
I hope you 2 are feeling and doing well. Till then,
