Very new to Rving, only two trips sofar in our 08 Mountainer. We are having problems with our toilet. It seems to not flush paper produsts intoo the tank, but hangs them up in the neck, causing the toliet to back up.
Any sugestions would be helpful at this point. Our dealer says that we are not using enough water.
Thanks
Bob

from ken and jane. we use as little water as possible , we only hold 30 gallons of water, with 11 gallon black tank. we always use paper for rv,s , we have spent 171 nights in our lance camper and seem to learn something new each time. since your rv is new , it might be the getting used to it part. Since it is new, you should not have any problems at all....as little water as you need at first. then a longer flush helped me out in that dept. but then again its a rv. my black water tank always reads full , even when i empty it....the only way i can get it to read empty is to put a hose and spray nozzle down the toilet to the darn tank, not fun. I just rely on the , oh heck this thing is getting full trick.....good luck, ken and jane

hey bob.... humm . a venting problem...it seems that after the flush it should just go down.. now i just have a camper and its not far to fall toilet to tank. but i swear its always something, thats how i got to no my camper so well. i have had things happen that made me scratch my head and want to scream... then i figure it out, and make a mental note of what it was... like filling propane tank, and having the alarm go off in a parking lot at grocery store and you dont have a clue how or why , (leaky valve propane is heavy flows by alarm ) getting into a back roads logging road, and the whole toilet was laying on its side.(dont store 5gallons extra water in jug bouncing around in bathroom) i have a solar power hooked up to roof, fills three large batteries for off road, works great we never run out of juice.(just water only 30 gallons) the meaning of short shower comes in clear now. all in all, sometimes its a huge hassle and ya cant figure it out. but you always do , and the fun is the adventure ..... your really going to love it. and a new 5th wheel sounds real cool. we want to keep our camper and get a 5th wheel , i will stay in touch with you so i can learn from you. i dont know anything about them...what do you pull it with? does it turn easy, how hard to back up? cave creek, i had so much fun there once...right out of phoenix right? i worked in casa grande in the 70s at a mine. worked and lived in phoenix too, loved it. apache junction was just dirt road then. damn life goes by fast... i am 54. talk to ya soon bob....ken and jane
