Full-timer Wanna-be

Living in Northern Michigan has certainly been an exciting adventure but it's time to "turn the page." The "younger" I get the more I feel the need to engage in this journey of full-time RVing. I am excited yet cautious as well. I should be full-time by next fall and am yet awaiting the impartation of a perfect "tow-vehicle" that will afford me the opportunity to safely get off the beaten path and go into some serious "boondocking". I am delighted in finding this web site.

On the Road Internet Connectivity

I've read a lot about the options available for Internet access while RV'ing and thanks to my good friend Ron, I've settled on using cellular connectivity with a big antennae to boost the signal. This is the most cost effective route for me. I would prefer that nice satellite setup, but it's thousands of dollars - in addition you can be found by where your signal is receiving and transmitting. The monthly costs are more than I choose to cough up and sometimes I just don't want to be found. I… Continue

Waking UP the RV for Spring / Summer

Liquidating Assets

I've come up with a process to follow for liquidating all these "things" I've accumulated through the years.

I've put my home up for sale by owner trying to avoid the commission fees for realtors during this very "down" real estate market. I've built a web site at www.miraclesandvictory.com/20650 and have made up poster board brochures that offer tear off strips that I'll post anywhere they are allowed. I'm offering convenient terms if necessary and I'm hopeful the home will sell by… Continue

Well that probably is true in some cases, I have a small class C with your basic van front end and normal truck motor, i do small stuff myself and have a wonderful mechanic, I don't venture too far so it wouold be towable to him if something major happened, i had 3 - 36 ft trailers but left them parked in seasonal campgrounds, Now I pull my boat wth class C and seem to have the best of both worlds, only drawback i would find with a class C or A would be a vehicle to get into town, but your there to camp and rough it rite? lol thats part of the fun preparing for an adventure and leaving the world behind, just my thoughts, i will some day get a class A since i enjoy my little class C so much and thier fun to drive don't seem to get as tired in the cab, Gary

HI there girl just went into my group web of working on the road and thought i would see if tou got any more feed back on the subject of being a fulltimer.IM not one quite yet myself ether.Hopeing to be in the near future.I think ill be one of those persons who have to have something to do and alittle xtra $$$$$,,now that the econmy has taken a turn.Iam a truck driver and ive seen all 48 states many times in the 35years of running over the road not counting the local driveing .Its time too see the front doors instead of the back.I know ther are lots of places to go back too. Some of them i wouldnt mind staying and working a few weeks or months just to enjoy the areas. My problem is trying to get rid of all my stuff that i dont need and toys i have.I think i will need a train to drag it around.Have any ideas?I ansewer all my mail and enjoy doing so..HAPPY TRAILS!!!

CHENISTA: Havent herd from you in such along time i thought you mite be in a snow bank or just sitting back enjoying the little umbrella drinks.I see you said 18" that will keep you wanting to get out of the NORTH COUNTRY.ITS been and is now raining like know tomarrow ,probably do that also.Did dewinterize part of my coach and take it out for the weekend of valentines.Just had to get out,the itch was driving me krazy.Went over to the coast and went south towards california.I ended up real close to the border at GOLD BEACH,OREGON. IVe been there a few times but this was a first with my mh.Everything went real good and had fun to boot..When i got home it was just shy of 500 miles. Have you ever been to the ozarks or black hills? I am looking at interesting things on the route to Rocky Mtns. Do you have any places of interest or routes that will work Nancy
