I'll try again at this, So nice of you to respond, and thank you for the compliments! Neil and I bought our American Eagle last August, and since he has not retired yet, have only been on 1/2 doz. trips. We love the experience, and have met such wonderful people. We look forward to a time when we can spend more time on the road! We reside in Rockledge, Florida (an hour from Disney, and 20 minutes to Port Canaveral). For anyone who needs storage or temporary parking for their RV's. We own a storage facility here on Barnes Blvd. just off I-95 (exit 195), that has indoor storage for any size coach - RV on the road. (check, All Brevard Storage.com) We park our bus there when not in use. Gary, where is Abita Springs? Near New Orleans? I lived in the Panhandle of Florida many years (Fort Walton). Did you get hit hard from Katrina? Keep in touch! You and your wife make a very handsome couple. Ever come this way? Regards, Carol

Gary, thanks for the e-mail! Not sure I know what a "cat" adjuster is? Your wife is not too far from us. My husband is up in that area quite often, Besides a Storage Facility we have owned and recently sold a company that specializes in soil and structural stabilization using concrete grouting and pilings. Neil is an engineer and general contractor. He has to stay with the new owner for four years as consultant. We have covered most the State since our soil here is so unstable in many areas. A lot of our work has been on the beach for new construction, but we had a lot of work stabilizing homes after the hurricanes hit our coast and undermined so many structures. I am praying we get through another season without a hit! Makes such a mess! Now with the gas prices so high, well, everything is high. It would be terrible for so many. So many people here cannot efford the Ins. for their homes - if they can get ins.! We moved off the Island here in Brevard County after the two storms hit in a couple weeks time. I could not evacuate again! Too much for me! Neil was over seas when the first storm came. He got home on the last plane to arrive at Orlando. Needless to say all the work was done securing the house etc. We stayed at a friends home on the mainland, then in a couple weeks we got hit again. I make up my mind it was time to move! Found this house near our storage complex in a new area called Viera. Love it! Large enough for all my stuff, quite, on a lake with big Oak trees. AND ENGINEERED FOR 150 mIL.HR. WINDS! Neil bought a hugh generator, we keep in the garage, so we will have power. You know its like taking an umbrella with you - it will never rain. Thats OK with me! Here, we are 27 ft. above sea level. Thats a comfort too. (Personally I love the mountains!) Sounds like you are set up for a Rally of your own! Come cooler weather, well who knows?? How long have you all been Rving? It is really so new to us. But we have had such a good time so far! Met the Abbott's (Harold & Nancy) on our last trip to Waynesville, NC fot a week over the 4th July. Great people! They too have joined this site. Harold spent many years in the service. Neil did his time, but never so any real action. (cold war pilot). Neil is 72, I'm 69., and remain very active! And congradulations on the weight loss! Regards, Carol

Carol,
First, "cat" is short for catastrophic adjuster such as hurricanes, earthquakes etc. Next, this explanation on the weight loss is a little lengthy but important. Let me preface this by saying that my doctors thought it was quackery and that it couldn't be done but the science was sound and solid. I started first by reading Kevin Trudeau's Weight Loss Protocol, The Cure for Obesity. You can look this up online. I read the book then took a copy to a friend that is a nurse practitioner and owns a health food store. She read the book and said that she would help me with the diet. I then took copies to both my doctors and asked them to read the book and just let me know what they thought. Since they are both mainstream medical doctors, they were thumbs down. I asked if I did the whole thing, would there be any consequences? They said unequivacably "no". They both believed it to be a very healthy adventure but that they would like to participate and monitor my experiment. They just couldn't fathom how it would be possible to adhere to the regimen. Frankly, I didn't know either but I was to the point of total exasperation and desperation and was willing to commit to this whole thing. I then revisited my healthy nurse and she set me up with all sorts of cleanses and detox herbals. She explained that fat can't leave the cell until most of the poisons and toxins were released. I was dubious and she said to trust her for once. I did and she put me on a healthy breakfast smoothie that I prepared myself every morning. It was tasty and filling and lasted untill lunch. For lunch, she told my wife to always have a large bowl of cooked beans in the fridge so that I could warm a bowl every day. Any and all kinds of beans with no meat. Beans are your friend (though they don't make your friends happy). Flavoring the beans with no meat is a secret also. Ask your health food store about a spice called "Spike". This stuff is all organic and great. I also have a small salad with my beans and made my own balsamic vinegarette dressing. Easy to make. Lunch is very filling and I work physically hard most times and it lasts until dinner. Dinner consists of a large to huge salad with an apple diced in it and I eat that last in the pool of balsamic vinegarette that is left. I also have a skinless chicken breast with a little Whorstershire sauce. Every day I stick to this regimen, I lose 1 pound. When I did this for 60 days, and lost 60 lbs., I then ordered HCG from an online source. HCG is short for Human Chorionic Gonadotrophan. This is not a growth hormone but quite the opposite. Read the book and it explains how it works. This was what interested my doctors. They agreed with the science but didn't think that I would do it. I did it and it was unbelievably great. In a nutshell, while on this stuff, you will consume no more than 500 calories a day and you WILL NOT BE HUNGRY. Your body will still be using the same fuel it always does but the fuel will be your fat. You will be burning 2000 to 3000 calories in fat per day. Your toilet bowl will show the evidence by the orange ring that your urine will cause. That orange ring is the fat leaving your body. Sorry, kinda gross but you asked and I'm tellin'. Gotta clean that bowl more often now. Also, if you can do the HCG thing, that's where the cure for obesity is. Without that, it's just another diet and you will regain the weight and all is for naught. I took a sabatical from the diet a couple times for some motorcycle trips with my old Viet Nam war buddies and ate road food with all the trimmings including cobblers and other assorted goodies and when I returned home the first thing my wife did before she even kissed me was to weigh me. No gain. Both times. There are other details and nuances that I could get into but I think you get the gist of it. Now, I do the diet during the week and pig out on the weekends and life is good. My energy level has skyrocketed not to mention my sex drive. Used to be who ever wanted to do the work. Now it's like when were in our thirties. Still, leave me alone, I have a headache. Just kidding y'all. The only thing I had on my side for this to work was "desperation". Otherwise, like the doctors said, it's too much of a change and committment. By the way, my cardiologist called be and said that I inspired him to try it and he has already lost 30 lbs.. 'Nite y'all, Gary
