You could say the site is my baby as I work for the man that owns it and I've sure given my two cents worth all along the way - even when not asked! (What do you think of the site, by the way?)
It's good work if you can get it... hell, any work is good work these days! I see you're from Sacramento. The mail man at the office is from there too - it sounds like a nice place.

I think I'm jealous! That's the 2nd time I've felt that today. Another member is about to travel coast-to-coast in a Class C and I told her the same thing. As far as the best way to meet people on the site is to jump into a discussion. Two people I've found to be very friendly are Sande (notice the spelling) and a guy named Ron Story. Sande is a sweet southern woman and Ron is a truck driving son of a gun. (I figure he's got information about traveling around the US of A.)
With regard to working from the road - I think there are probably many ways to make money. From traveling around to state fairs and selling something to doing something online from your RV.

Here's a link to our blog. There's an article about working from the road that may give you some ideas. H.
Hey Jeffrey, I was sorry to see that Sacramento made the national news this weekend because of the tent camps that are popping up. I hope this economy turns around sooner than expected.
I found this article about 'workamping' and thought you might find it helpful. See ya. H.
