Another member is about to travel coast-to-coast in a Class C and I told her the same thing. As far as the best way to meet people on the site is to jump into a discussion. Two people I've found to be very friendly are Sande (notice the spelling) and a guy named Ron Story. Sande is a sweet southern woman and Ron is a truck driving son of a gun. (I figure he's got information about traveling around the US of A.)

With regard to working from the road - I think there are probably many ways to make money. From traveling around to state fairs and selling something to doing something online from your RV.
