Getting Around

Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a newcomer to RVs, but my husband (of just over 2 years) has been driving them for many, many years. The one we have now is his 4th, my 2nd. Since July 2006, however, we have managed to hit 30 of the 50 United States, and plan to go to a bunch more next year. We don't quite full-time, since we have a house (which we call our "summer home"), but we travel about 8 months of the year. My husband is retired, and I am a writer, electronic publisher, designer and online researcher, so can work just about anywhere that has an internet connection. I have a blog about our travels, which you're welcome to visit and comment on. I also sometimes mention the trials and tribulations of trying to live a digital life on the road in my techie blog.

I'm really happy to find this network, and am looking forward to meeting other Ning RVers!

Here's something fun:

Hi Kat,
Welcome to MyRver and thanks for providing feedback on the forum discussions. Please let me know if you have any questions about the various functions of MyRver. From the looks of your customized page, I'd be willing to bet you're familiar with social networks and won't need any help from me. Thank you for joining the site and please tell your RVing friends about it. Holly

Hey Kat,
I see you're headed back to Albuquerque.... maybe this time you'll get to eat at the Frontier! My mouth is watering thinking about the huevos rancheros with green chili stew! My parents have been visiting these last few days from Flagstaff and when they leave, I'll be heading to Ft. Lauderdale for spring break. I can hardly wait...

Good Evening KAT and MR KAT: Good to here from you both, hope everything is going ok down your way.IM fine up my way but hopeing the rain and wind will dye down .Have had nasty stuff since last friday the 13th.Took my coach in yesterday the 16th to camping world and had them install some reading lites on the dash one each side. There was nothing to even read a map with.So i got some of those goose neck lites.I was going to do it my self but i sized it up and decided to pay alittle and have them do it.I did buy a new gold tear drop lite and took the phony one off that waqs under the tv in the middle of the front windows.I did that one.Much better now,it has two bulbs and puts out 36 watts.IM thinking about makeing a run up the mts this weekend and stay on hwy 126 that goes over to Bend,Oregon which is only apx 125miles but where im thinking about going it has full service and natural hot springs to enjoy also. Here week before last stayed at seven feathers casino and RV resort. Now that is a good place to stay and they even pick you rite up at yor door and take you to resteraunt or the casino even drop u same way when yur rdy to go back home..Hey if you see any of my money in alba could you sens it home, its the stuff which has tears on it.Hope coach has been humming rite along with no problems. Do you pull 4dwn or dolly?Im still doing alot of cking on all the combos and havent found my method yet.Im getting tired of not haveing a way to get around when i stop.Well dont want to write too much of a book here it may take you til ya get NEW MEXICO to read it all.YOUR FRIEND RON S>

Howdy Kat:well i did get that tear drop lite in my self with no problems.Boy does it throw out the brite lite.Im glad i put those goose neck ones in,ther not as brie as the tear drop one,i would have to turn off the road if its on i think.Just got back from going to costco for a few things.Made the reservations this morning for Friday nite and Saturday nite, who knows i mite even stay Sunday as well.Have to play that one by ear. When you decide to come out my way let me know maybe i can help you two with a good place to stay or meet up and have a cup of coffee face to face.I just got my xit guide book in the mail Saturday and have been looking it over. Its ok but seeing i drive truck i have and know alot of the places and then some maybe.I bet it is nice down yer way rite now,I know on my sattellite radio i listen to the ELVIS channel alot and it was 65 today back in memphis.Spring is slowly getting here give it tme.You said yer going to get in albq about two weeks before festie??Now dont loose all your traveling money. You know how it goes,we took there land and money now its pay backs.Heres a joke....YOU KNOW HOW BAD THE ECONOMY IS WHEN THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN MAKE A DEPOSIT ON A BMW IS A PIGION. Hope you like it and talk to later..BE SAFE OUT THERE>>RON STORY

GOOD EVENING to you and hubby:just a short note to see if your getting all that blizzards down your way as there up north and filtering down to nm way.I see they have had wyo,mt, neb, and some of kansas closed down there were tordnados there.IM from casper and they got 10" there.I had agood weekend up in the mt about 90 from house and it was so relaxing in the natural hot springs. But now sunday when i got up and opened the curtains lord and behold 1/2inch of that nasty ole white stuff laying on the ground and more still come down about half the size of hand.So it looks like mother nature isnt threw yet.I guess fargo is exspecting the worst flooding since 1997.I think i will just stay at home for awhile and not go toofar away.Trips have been around 300-500 thatsw ok for now.Stay dry and safe its getting closer to the fest time.YOUR FRIEND RON STORY
