Oak Creek campground

Just returned home from Oak Creek Campground in Narvon, PA. It was their Halloween weekend. Lots of fun. We arrived on Thursday to set up camp, we set up all our Halloween decorations, and watched as all our arriving neighbors set up their camps. Interesting to see the various decorations people have. Friday was a relaxing day, walked around the campground, checked out others campers sites. Then we strolled down to the pond to see if anyone was… Continue

I'll be posting some photos soon. Let me suggest that you get your kids involved in Scouting as soon as you can. It will help them enjoy your camping trips even more. We are doing things a little different than many people in so far as the amount of time we spend in any one location. Now we are just hitting the spots that interest us and picking up camping and park information as we go. The second time we go into an area will be to stay awhile and enjoy the camp site or to sight-see out of the camp on day trips. But for now we are just wanderers. Our little diesel lets us spend a lot of time on the road. We are going with a friend to Fort Desoto Park next week and will not leave the park until we come back home. (only a few days). This will be the first time we have spent time at a camp site just to be there sinse we spent 4th of July weekend at a great little state park in Texas. We enjoy spending time here and there but have set off to visit every state that my wife hasn't already visited. I drove a truck for a few years and have "been there" already but it sure is fun "seeing" those places again through her eyes. 53 years o marriage and I still enjoy her company, hope she does too. It's a great country out there, we have been all over the world and have seen some very interesting places and things, but the USA has it and then some. ENJOY !

Hello Krissie and Ron, Iwas wondering what year your rv was? and does it have a carburater like mine? I have a 86 winnibago and just missed fuel injestion by a year i believe? i just love it though, put on a new holly 750 4barrell on chevy 350 and goes pretty good for a 24ft and getting around 13 miles to the gallon. nice to meet you,Gary

So you had a new motor installed in 2002 does it still have a carbutatoer? or is it fuel injected? I only have 68,000 on mine, but my regular pick up has fuel injection and that sure would be nice in the RV, but maybe sometimes I expect to much from it. It does pull the pontoon just fine, thanks ,Gary

That window sealer i have is called: Permatex Black super weather adhesive no.82 Now I use this for where my window weather striping pulled apart and it looks great,if your refering to caulking around where window seals to camper then use clear or biege which ever matches best and you probably would want silicone sealeant. Hi,
Thank you for the welcome. I just saw your pictures from Oak Creek Campground and that sign sure looks familiar. I lived most of my life about 4 or 5 miles from there and would get by it quite often. However, we never camped there because it was too close to home. I like to travel a bit farther, but now with the gas prices we're sticking a little closer. We went to French Creek State Park a couple times this season, which I used to consider too close. We now live in Wernersville, Berks Co., which is not that far from Gilbertsville. We're about to end our last camping trip for the season, and in fact I am writing from Pohick Bay Regional Park in Virginia. Our son, daughter-in-law, and three month old grandson live in D.C., so this campground is our parking spot while we visit them. It's a beautiful park right on the Potomac about 20 miles below the city. Well, I guess that's enough for now. I'll try to post some pictures soon. Thanks again.
