If you own an RV, are you a full-time, part-time, or occasional RVer?
Part-Time
From who or what dealership did you buy your RV?
We bought our first coach last August, an American Eagle at Lazydays in Tampa area. This August we traded the Eagle and bought a larger (45'), Newell} from the Newell plant in Miami, Oklahoma.
My, what an attractive couple. You two exude "class". Neil you favor my cousin who is Chairman of the National Military Order of Purple Hearts and The rolling Viet Nam Memorial Wall. Carol, you should be a movie star. Y'all look great. I you're in Louisiana, I have hook ups at my place for a free stopover when ever you come through. Gary
Carol,
Nice to hear from you. I guess we're the computerphiles that will do the communicating, besides, my bride is down at the beach house on Ono Island, Orange Beach, Fl. for the next ten days. Shucks, i barely see her in the season. yes, Abita is a small bedroom community about 30-40 miles directly north of NOLA. Yes, we were smacked very hard by Katrina. That's the reason I have nine hookups in my yard. I was a "cat" adjuster and my adjuster friends flocked to my place to operate from and as they came, my electrician would fix them up. I could provide elect. and water but dumping would have to be done in one of three sewer cleanouts on the property. I have a three thousand sq. ft. game room they used as grand central station when in for the night. They would work claims, drink a beer, watch TV, or listen to my music collection at their liesure. They didn't want to leave! Now the property is all mine untill the next hurricane hits. Our property was roughed up pretty badly. We lost a mature live oak and a few giant pine trees one of which fell across our pool and ripped the light right out of the wall. Thank goodness, it didn't crack the pool. All new roofs on five buildings and considerable 8 ft. fence destroyed. We are finally back to some semblance of normalcy but not like it was. When they told us that this was a life changing storm, we had no idea of the long reaching and lasting permanent impact on our lives, By the way, that pic of us is a year or two old. This past January, I changed my eating habits radically and have lost 110 lbs. I just haven't taken a recent pic. I'm a new man. Nice talking with ya, gotta go do some work. I'm an artist and I work seven days a week. Bye now. Gary
Where do you cruise out of? We use Port Canaveral, since we are 20 minutes from it. What is the matter with your RV? Where did you purchase it? Where in Oklahoma are you from? I don't get back to Chicago as much as I would like. I did go last year to my 50th class reunion in GlenEllyn. I graduated from Glenbard West way back in 1957. We had a wonderful time! I keep in contact with classmates going back to first grade! Lots of years to remember!!!! Carol
Got this in my e-mail, thought I would pass it along for a laugh or two.... forgive the format it is just a cut and paste.
