We just returned from our first long trip to New England and ended up driving some rather frightening roads through the mountains. There are no main east - west roads through Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont so we had to travel back roads.  I did use the "little man" on Google Maps when I could but that didn't really help. We met some people in a Florida campground who told us they frequently set a crock pot in their motor coach sink and run the generator while driving so they had a hot meal ready when they pulled in at the end of the day. We want to carry a ladder with us so that we can reach the front windshield to clean it when it gets full of the dreaded Florida love bugs. Our 3 step step-ladder isn't high enough. We'd like to attach an aluminum ladder to the back of our coach ladder but aren't sure what to use to keep it securely in place while driving.
