I finally retired and now am getting the fiver ready to do something. I found some friends who camp locally at the different parks around here and it is fun. Will get out further as time permits. Glad y'all are "on the road" now. See ya around.

I hope y'all have a great time on your trip. I'm off next week and I may hook up and go down to the state park which is 5 minutes away from here. It depends on the weather. I don't do cold weather too well. The old arthritis sets in and I end up hobbling around looking like a fool. Maybe I can get one of the firemen to go and help me set up. (My husband was a firefighter here.) I'm not sure what to do with all my time off. It's been a while since I was off for a good time....Keep in touch....

Hi, Mort and Joyce,
Thanks for your post. I wish I had friends that camped but no one I know does--so it's solo for me. I think the big thing is just getting out of the driveway. The weather has turned a lot cooler now so I may wait until spring. I hope you enjoy your trailer and when you get adventurous come to Alabama and we'll hook up.

Mort, most of those units have a detector to determine the presence of a flame. If there none then they shut down. Other than that advice, I'm sorry Ican't help you. Good luck, Wayne

Mort, you don't say whether you heater is propane or electric. If it is electric, it could be just a blown fuse. If propane, it is probably your fuel supply. Good luck, Wayne

Hello Mort and Joyce, I saw that you were new to the site and looking for some good fishing in Texas. I posted your question in the 'Forum' so maybe you'll get some feedback.

thank you; we have some great fishing and camping around here to. we have Brady lake,Nasworthy, Winters lake, and the Concho river, all very good camping and fishing. We have been doing all our campin in a tent up to now. But we just bought a 97 20' Prowler yesturday so we plan to do a lot of traveling, camping and fishing now. So we are looking for some good places to go to.

Livingston, Texas is north of Houston, Lake Livingston has great fishing and campin. Camp sites are readily available most of the year. Lake Conroe is just a short drive also. Ihave camped on Lake Livingston and Lake Conroe, both have great campgrounds. However I have only fished Lake Livingston best of luck fishing
